New Life Wonderlight is designed as a local-first educational companion. The current version does not require an account, display ads, run behavioral analytics, or maintain a remote student-record database. This summary does not replace the complete policy below.
Scope and application
This Privacy Policy applies to the New Life Wonderlight Android application (package org.newlifeacademy.tooele.wonderlight) and this companion website. It explains how the current version handles information. It does not govern the separate official school website, enrollment systems, email provider, phone carrier, app store, device operating system, or other third-party services.
Wonderlight is a learning companion. It is not an enrollment portal, gradebook, student information system, emergency service, or official record-submission channel.
Organization and app support identity
The application is presented for NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY OF TOOELE. Organization details supplied for the app listing are:
- Address: 411 E Utah Ave, Tooele, UT 84074

Information we collect
The current app is designed without account registration and does not ask users to submit a legal name, birth date, student ID, school record, payment information, precise location, contacts, photographs, microphone recordings, or advertising identifier to an app-operated server.
The companion website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, account cookies, or a server-side contact-form processor. Like most web infrastructure, the hosting provider may temporarily process standard technical request data—such as IP address, request time, browser type, requested path, and security events—to deliver and protect the site. The app publisher does not use this site to create behavioral profiles.
Information stored locally on the device
If a user chooses to enter reflections, mark progress, or adjust app preferences, the current version stores that information locally in the app's private area on the device. It is not automatically uploaded to an app-operated server.
Anyone with access to an unlocked device may be able to view information inside the app. Users should avoid entering confidential school records, medical details, passwords, financial information, or anything they would not want another device user to see.
Support email, telephone, and the website form
The website's support form works only as a draft helper. When the user selects “Prepare email draft,” the browser asks the user's own email application to create a new message. This website does not send, upload, receive, or store the text entered in that form. The user can review, edit, cancel, or send the draft.
If a user chooses to email or call app support, the email provider, telephone carrier, and recipient may process the information the user voluntarily provides. Support messages may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain safety, document the request, or meet legal obligations. Do not send sensitive student or education records to the app-support Gmail address.
Device permissions and external actions
The current app is designed to function without sensitive permissions such as precise location, camera, microphone, contacts, call logs, SMS, or background location. Selecting an email, telephone, web, or sharing action may open a separate app chosen by the user. Wonderlight does not control how that separate app handles information.
Future releases that materially change permissions or data practices will require an updated disclosure and, where applicable, an in-app permission request.
How information is used
Local app entries are used on the device to provide the feature the user selected, such as displaying a saved reflection or progress state. Information voluntarily included in a support email or telephone call is used to understand and respond to the request, troubleshoot the app, protect users, and comply with law.
We do not use app activity for targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, automated eligibility decisions, grading, enrollment decisions, or the sale of personal information.
Retention and deletion
Locally saved app information generally remains on the device until the user clears it within the app, clears the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstalls the app. Device backups, if enabled by the operating system or device owner, may follow separate platform settings.
The website form has no server-side submission or retention. To request deletion of information previously sent directly to app support, contact us using Section 14. We will evaluate the request subject to identity verification and any legal, security, or recordkeeping requirements.
Security
We use proportionate safeguards in the app and website design, including local app storage, limited functionality, encrypted HTTPS delivery for the website, and restrictive browser security headers. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Users should keep Android and the app updated, use a device screen lock, control physical access to the device, and avoid putting sensitive records into free-text reflection fields.
Children, families, and school context
Wonderlight may be used in a family or educational context. It is intentionally designed without account registration, advertising, behavioral tracking, public posting, direct messaging, or a remote student profile. The app does not knowingly request a child's name, email address, location, photograph, voice recording, or school record for transmission to us.
A parent, guardian, or responsible adult should guide use as appropriate for the child and review anything before it is intentionally shared through another app. If you believe a child sent personal information to app support, contact us so we can evaluate and, where appropriate, delete it. The app is a supplemental tool and does not replace adult supervision or professional instruction.
Your choices and privacy requests
Users can choose whether to enter local content, can edit or remove locally stored entries using available controls, and can stop use by uninstalling the app. Users control whether an email draft is sent and whether an external telephone or web action is completed.
Depending on applicable law, a person may have rights concerning personal information they previously provided directly to app support, such as access, correction, or deletion. Send a sufficiently detailed request using Section 14. We may need to verify the request and may decline or limit it where the law permits.
Third-party services and links
The app and website may open Android, an app store, an email client, telephone dialer, browser, the official school website, or another external destination. Those services have their own privacy practices and are outside our control. A link does not mean the external service follows this policy.
The official school website and any enrollment, donation, scholarship, or education platforms it links to are separate from Wonderlight. Review the privacy information presented by each service before submitting personal or student information.
Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements, or privacy practices change. The revised version will show a new “Last updated” date and will be posted at this canonical address:
